COVID-19 Practice update

16/3/2020

I am happy to announce that the Ontario Government has approved a gradual restart of massage therapy services.

I know that a lot of you have been struggling with our new working from home, and self-isolation measures. It has taken a toll on all of us, both physically and emotionally, and massage is of course a great way to help with both of these challenges. Although we are all excited to get back to our normal routines, including regular massage, it is important to note that due to the CMTO and our Government's recommendations, this will not be business as usual.

As per their guidelines, this gradual restart of services will need to be carried out with adherence to guidance from our governing body, the CMTO. They are recommending that RMTs resume practice gradually so as to limit the number of in-person visits for the safety of healthcare providers and their patients/clients. This will allow me to properly sanitize the clinic and all common surfaces before and after each treatment, as well as to welcome you in with the appropriate protective equipment for both your and my safety.

Obviously because of the close proximity I need to work in with each person I treat, I will be enforcing that all massage clients wear a face mask while at the clinic. If you can provide one for yourself excellent, otherwise I will have masks available when you arrive. For the time being, I will also be avoiding all contact with clients hands and face.

Please refer to the government's notice about COVID-19 signs and symptoms (link on main page and on updates tab) before your treatment.

PLEASE NOTE
I am waiving my cancellation policy for the time being, however, if a client fails to report any signs and/or symptoms prior to their treatment, I reserve the right to refuse massage and they will be responsible for the full treatment fee.

I will continually update the website as I learn new information. Please check here regularly, and before each appointment, as our guidelines and policies will change as the situation evolves.

Thank you and I am looking forward to seeing all of your faces in the clinic soon!

In health,

Colin
